Hey there princess!
People say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I thought today I would share a favorite picture of mine with you.
It is one of the earliest known photographs of a human, was taken in 1839, and shows a young Robert Cornelius standing outside of his family's lamp-making shop in Philadelphia.
Sure, it seems like just an ordinary old photograph, but when you think about it being of a man who lived 173 years ago, it becomes something really special. To me, Robert looks like someone that I could run into today on the street, or at the grocery store in the produce section. He had hopes and wishes, just like you and me. Maybe he even dreamed of finding his one true love.
All I know is that this photograph reminds me of how connected everyone in the world is, whether a prince or a pauper, James Dean or your next door neighbor.
