Babymoon Aboard the Disney Wonder: Day 4, Day at Sea

Wednesday, August 3, 2022

 Hey there princess!

Day 4 aboard the Disney Wonder was our last full day on the cruise. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we decided to focus on just resting, relaxing, and enjoying our time together. I think everyone should do their own thing on their vacations, and Disney provides you with enough options to be able to have whatever kind of vacation you want to have. I saw other passengers spending a lot of time at the pool, and others take advantages of activities onboard like crafts, bingo, trivia, etc. For me, I just wanted to sit outside and watch the water, and take naps. It was an incredibly restful trip!

I was still stuffed from dinner the night before, so for breakfast, I stuck with oatmeal and some fruit tarts from Cabanas. If you're interested in a larger, more lux breakfast, places like Triton's are open for complementary breakfast, but each morning I found myself just wandering to the buffet because they were open later in the morning and sleeping in was a top priority. Cabanas also offers fresh fruit, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, and other standard breakfast items.

After breakfast, we took a walk around the boat and made a stop at the three gift shops onboard to make any final souvenir purchases. I got myself a spirit jersey and Niles purchased a t-shirt. We were also sure to pick up a Christmas tree ornament and some bathtub toys for baby boy to-be.

The ocean was absolutely beautiful, and I spent several hours on this day just sitting outside enjoying the view. I was surprised that the rocking of the boat completely negated my pregnancy nausea. It is the best I felt the whole time I was pregnant. I absolutely love the ocean.

Onboard, they also have "Dole Whips" available for purchase out by the pool. Now, I will say this had a smoothie consistency, so it was different from the Dole Whips that are available at Disney parks, which are more of a soft serve consistency. The flavor was exactly the same, though, and I loved this! I drank all of mine, and probably half of Niles' glass. Such a terrific treat!

On our last night we got a little penguin on our bed as a surprise after we saw the evening show. I will say, all of the shows were incredible and so much fun. It was so wonderful to hear my favorite Disney songs and see the beautiful sets and talented actors. I love watching any kind of theater, and I looked forward to seeing the show every evening. Even if you're not that interested in Broadway, I would really encourage you to go to each of the shows. They are tons of fun, and had me feeling incredibly nostalgic.

Dinner was at Animator's Palate, which was a really fun restaurant with TV screens on the wall that showed progressions of classic Disney pictures being drawn. For people going on longer cruises, you will have the opportunity to draw your own picture and have it be animated on the screens during the dinner show. Even without that, we had tons of fun at our meal, and as per usual - everything was delicious!

I ordered two entrees at this dinner, the chicken breast and the steak, because the meals are all you care to enjoy, and my Dole Whip was a distant memory! I have to say both were delicious! If you want two entrees, or two appetizers, or every single thing on the menu to take one bite out of to try - just ask! Your servers will be more than happy to bring it to you!

I got the ice cream sundae for desert - fantastic! How cute is the little chocolate Mickey on top?!

Our servers wrote our initials in chocolate on a plate, which I thought was very cute!

Sorcerer Mickey came by for the dinner show, and went by each table dancing and posing. Once the show was over, we went straight to bed. The next morning, we were disembarking the ship, so we wanted to get ourselves packed back up, and enjoy our last night on the softest bed in the world! Seriously - the bed is so comfortable, and the pillows were divine. I slept so well on this trip.

On our last morning, we got our luggage together and headed to Cabana's so that I could have one last Mickey waffle before heading home. This was an absolutely amazing trip, and I would absolutely go again! Once our little guy gets older (and potty trained) I would absolutely take another trip like this, or maybe do one of their themed cruises for Halloween or Christmas. There were tons of activities onboard for kids (though as two adults traveling without children I never felt like the experience was too kiddie), and I would love to splash around in the pool as a family.

That is the end of my Disney Wonder trip! I want to do a follow-up blog to this with all of the items I purchased in anticipation of this trip from small shops (and other essentials I used from Amazon). If you have any questions, please let me know, I would love to answer them!

Sparkle on!
