At my younger brother and sister’s high school, they have
something called “Cookie Day.” Now, this isn’t a yearly treat, or something
that they do for the honor roll kids once a six weeks. No. Once a week, the
entire school takes an hour out of their day to go to the cafeteria and, you
guessed it, eat cookies!
Finally, kids in Tiny Town, Texas are getting the education
they deserve!
Really though, I think that this idea is kinda sweet. We all
know that high school is stressful, and having a once-weekly break from all of
the mayhem and foolishness is nice. Plus, it gives the kids a little extra time
before the next period to copy each other’s homework!
I propose that we have “Cookie Day” in every high school
across America in order to reduce stress, raise funds for the PTA, and make a
few dreams come true. I might have to write my congressman.
