Ginchy Gal of the Week: Meg Cabot

Hey there princess!

Meg Cabot, one of my favorite authors, got her start writing about princesses (we are, after all, a pretty interesting subject), and has published over fifty books. One of my favorite things about her novels is their ending (spoiler: there is usually lots and lots of kissing involved).

However, Miss Meg wasn't always an author super-star, she had to work for her place in the literary kingdom like everyone else. She graduated from Indiana University with her BFA, and after discontinuing her pursuit to be an illustrator, took a position as an assistant residence hall director at NYU for ten years.

Eventually, as luck (and lots and lots of talent) would have it, she published The Princess Diaries series, which has sold over 16 million copies, and been translated into 38 languages.

Meg is truly inspiring, and fabulously gorgeous as well. Raoul, my magic mirror, says I have some real competition for fairest in the land. I'm not worried, though. I've always been good at sharing my tiaras.

Be more like Meg:

Keep a journal
Elope in Italy
Drink lots of Tab
Be a friend to animals
Make your own happy ending
