Dessert and A Movie Monday: Rebecca and Oreo Cake Balls

Monday, February 6, 2012

Hey there princess!

Some people claim that Mondays are the worst days of the week, but I beg to differ. Mondays are full of possibilities, and give you the opportunity to set the pace for the rest of your week.

What better way to start off you week than by eating something delicious and relaxing by the big screen? Don’t have time for these shenanigans today? No problem! Bookmark or print out this page and save it for the weekend!

Oreo Cake Balls and Rebecca

The perfect combination of black and white. Always classy, always fabulous.

A little on Rebecca:

This is seriously one of my favorite movies ever. When a naïve young woman marries a rich (and uber handsome) widower and settles into his gigantic mansion (fit for a princess like you), she finds the memory of his first wife maintaining a grip on her husband and the servents. It is the first movie Alfred Hitchcock made in America, and it is the first movie that David O. Selznick made after finishing Gone With The Wind. One word: Fabulous!

Oreo Cake Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

1 Box Double Stuffed Oreos
1 Package Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 Package White Melting Chocolate

Crush all Oreos (I use a blender), and don’t give in to your urge to snack. Then take out a small cup of the crushed Oreo powder, and set it aside.

Mix crushed Oreos with cream cheese thoroughly and then separate into one-inch balls. Set these in the fridge for half an hour to chill.

Dip balls in white melting chocolate and sprinkle with the left over Oreo crumbs.

Eat until you can’t eat any more.

Share the rest with boys (“I made these especially for you!”)
