Hey there princess!
Even MIKA “tried to be like Grace Kelly,” but it takes a
certain je ne seis quoix to be like this real life princess! Though her acting
career was not long, she most certainly was memorable, from her elegant fashion
sense to the air of sophistication that she exuded every day. However, that
blue-blood persona was not something that came naturally to Princess Grace.
She would spend hours every day perfecting her voice until her naturally nasal tone was replaced by an elegant, almost British inflection. But boy did
it pay off! After concluding her acting career with High Society (1956), she married Prince Rainier of Monaco who
presented her with a twelve-carat diamond flanked by two baguettes by Cartier
for her engagement ring. Now that’s what I call bling!
To top it all off she won the Oscar for best actress for her work in Country Girl in 1955.
